Release date for Pokémon Sleep: When will it be accessible?

The release of Pokémon Sleep was long overdue. We hadn't heard

anything else about the game since it was first revealed in May 2019 and it seemed unlikely that it would ever be released. But we eventually learned that the iOS and Android game was coming, and quickly at that, at Nintendo's Pokémon Presents event on February 27. We believe we can assist you in finding the precise release date for Pokémon Sleep as well as other information.

QUICK RESPONSE

Although it hasn't been officially announced, July 14, 2023, appears to be the most likely release date for Pokémon Sleep. The Pokémon Go Plus device, which can be used for the game, launches on this day, just before the Pokémon Go 'Catching' event.

What is Pokémon Sleep?

Pokémon Sleep is a game that you can play while you're asleep, true to its name. This defies logic, yet it's based on sleep-tracking technology, and how you interact with the game depends on how much and what kind of sleep you get.

On a pretty ironic note, you are given the duty of learning about Pokémon sleep patterns while playing the game, which is set on a little island. Neroli, a professor who specializes in this topic, as well as Snorlax, a local of the island, will be of assistance to you.

Your smartphone or the Pokémon Go Plus monitors your sleep, and depending on how well you did, you may be rewarded with sleeping Pokémon when you awaken. Similar to Pokémon Go, the

Getting as many as you can is the goal, and the rarer the better. Even among your pals, you can compete to see who can capture the most sleeping Pokémon.

With Pokémon Sleep, Nintendo may have made a wise decision. The brand is expanding the reach of Pokémon outside of waking hours by gamifying it. The user also receives some additional enjoyment and motivation to have a restful night's sleep and develop better sleeping habits. Win-win situation.

When you go to bed, you must play the game by placing your phone or Pokémon Go Plus device near your pillow. Your smartphone's accelerometer and gyroscope are then used by the app to monitor your sleep. These sensors track your motions and can be used to detect when you are awake or asleep. The software also uses the microphone on your phone to listen for sounds like snoring and other noises that can indicate how well you sleep.

Pokémon Sleep may determine how much of your overall sleep time is spent in light, deep, and REM sleep by tracking how long you sleep for, when you wake up, your snoring, and other movements. Dozing, snoozing, and slumbering are terms used to describe several stages of sleep, including light sleep and REM sleep. This is significant in the context of the game since the length of your slumber determines how many Pokémon you'll see when you wake up, whereas the sort of sleep you get determines which Pokémon you find. Pokémon that sleep in a manner similar to yours will be drawn to you.

When is Pokémon Sleep coming out?

In February, it was revealed that Pokémon Sleep would be released in the summer of 2023. There is no further official confirmation of the game's release as of the time of writing in Summer 2023, and the hazy release date is still displayed on the Pokémon Sleep website. However, we can hazard a guess.

The Pokémon Sleep game will heavily rely on the Pokémon GO Plus gadget, as you can see in the video up top. The Pokémon Sleep release date is expected to be the same day as or very close to its more specific July 14 release date in the US.

Additionally, the weekend of July 15–16 will see the 'Catching Some Z's' event from the July Pokémon Go schedule. It seems nearly probable that this event will take place in conjunction with the release of Pokémon Sleep given the similarities between the games and the date of Pokemon Go Plus.
